Personnel

São Paulo resident Georges Landau is the founding writer and editor of Brazil Focus. Educated in law and public administration in both Brazil and the Netherlands, he has taught international economic relations around the world. After a stint in Brazil's Foreign Service and several government appointments, Landau spent a large part of his career working for international agencies. He has published widely on law, economics and international affairs.

Francisco Mirto has his own consultancy in Brasília, but is also a close associate with years of experience working with Menas do Brasil. His expertise is governmental affairs and legislature, a field he has worked in throughout his career. Mirto has extensive knowledge of Brazil's political stratosphere and has worked as a chief lobbyist for ANFAVEA and several energy-related foreign companies.
