South Asia
The Indian subcontinent is a vast, strategically important, and heavily
populated region. It juxtaposes the political and security chaos of Afghanistan
and
Pakistan with the emergent economic super-power status of democratic India.
Added to
the mix are Bangladesh, one of the world's poorest countries, and Sri Lanka,
which has been in a state of near civil war since 1983.
Menas has been carrying out an increasing number of projects on South Asia. The
highly experienced head of our regional team has an international reputation
for
research in South Asian geopolitics, development, and environmental issues.
