Middle East
For over 50 years the Middle East has been a cockpit of regional conflict,
revolutionary fervour, and religious extremism, set against a backdrop of
increasing
economic wealth. A phenomenal increase in oil revenues has given the region,
and
particularly the Gulf rulers, enormous economic power and influence. Growing
income disparities and Islamic fundamentalism still threaten the stability of
some
regimes.
Reflecting the expertise of our founding directors, Menas worked exclusively on
the Middle East and North Africa until 1988. It remains a core area for the
company, and our current directors have decades of experience in advising
multinational companies, banks, and financial institutions both in and on the
region.
