Profile: Our Former Soviet Union team

The FSU team, which is particularly strong on the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, also covers Russia, including specific regions such as Sakhalin, Ukraine, and parts of Eastern Europe. It is led by a leading oil industry journalist and analyst who speaks fluent Russian. The team includes the former head of an oil super major's security risk management programme for all its operations in the FSU, Middle East, and Europe. Others in the team are academics, consultants, former diplomats, and country experts.
